Is Wu Yi Tea a Scam?

Wu Yi Source

Ancient weight loss techniques

Google “diet” and one of the paid ads along the side of your screen is sort of sure to be for some type of dieter’s tea : the Wu-Yi Source, Wu-Long, or one or another of similar versions at sites run by QFL. On each one of the sites, you find a like story : this company has access to an exclusive source for special tea that helps you burn fat effortlessly and liquifies the pounds right off you.

Diverse written testimonials are interspersed with the professed advantages of this brand of tea ( which is unavoidably said to be the original and strongest version ), followed by an inventory of benefits attributed to their brew. Virtually unfailingly, the sites bill their tea “As Seen on Oprah,” and infrequently Rachel Ray is implicated as well, but the reality is, neither of these girls has validated any particular brand, or perhaps flavor, of tea. There’s no mention of “wu-yi,” “wulong,” or perhaps “oolong” on Oprah’s site. The extent of the supposed testimonial about tea is located in 2 slides under Oprah’s Break Techniques , describing the famous talk-show hostess curbs hunger pangs and cravings with a cup of tea and a light break. Rachel Ray’s site has no mention of tea for weight loss at all. Many of the sites publicize a money-back guarantee, but this may be a common practice among diet supplement dealers, as even unhappy consumers seldom go thru the effort of sorting thru the returns process.

The ( Oo ) Long and Short of It Oolong tea, together with its cousins black and green tea, have superb psychological and physical health benefits, but none are “magic brew.” Sites like Wu-Yi and Wu-Long prey on the chronic dieter’s desperation to charge an additional buck or 2 on an already dear product. The real thing is worthwhile. The fakes aren’t.
